Reclaimed Doors Turn into Great New Headboard and Footboard

A few weeks ago my neighbor pulled into the drive with a pickup full of “stuff”.  I greeted him at his window of his truck and he offered me (ok, I begged a little) these old doors he pulled out of an old farm house he remodeled years ago.

I was itching to head to Pinterest and look for ideas on what to do with them when he said in kind of a sarcastic voice, “Bet you are gonna make a headboard or something with these!”

That reminded me that we were going to be getting a king sized bed soon and we currently had only had a queen so I WAS going to need a bigger headboard. Problem solved!
